InsureBC (formerly known as The Intercity Group) traces its roots back to 1988. Since our launch that year, we have developed into BC’s largest independently owned group of general insurance brokerages whose oldest members have been in insurance since the 1920’s.
With more than 100 locations across BC, we provide a comprehensive range of financial and insurance products and services to more than 600,000 customers annually. Our offices pride themselves at being experts in all areas of insurance, including life insurance, mortgage insurance, health insurance, as well as property and casualty insurance.
Through all of our locations and divisions, we employ approximately 975 employees in a variety of disciplines, including Insurance, Sales, Underwriting, Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Accounting and Administration around the globe.

In 2017, realizing how consumer demand is changing the way insurance products are purchased, we founded one of BC’s first online, digital insurance agencies; Insure-it-yourself Insurance Services. Backed by licensed insurance professionals, our digital insurance agency allows customers to purchase a wide array of insurance products completely online. We currently offer 8 different online products offered by 3 of Canada’s largest and most reputable insurance companies.
